From New York to Yerevan

19-22 July 2023, Royce Froehlich (Ph.D., MDiv, LCSW-R) - co-president of the C. G. Jung Institute of New York, visited Yerevan. The members of the Armenian Association for Analytical Psychology had the chance to have in person individual and group supervision, as well as to get acquainted with the features of the Jungian analysts’ training in the USA. 

The program of the visit included a series of seminars: “All You Need Is Love: Jung Meets the Beatles in the Global Village of Generalized Media Disorder, Dissociation, and Disindividuation” which was delivered by R. Froehlich on the 19th, 20th and 22nd of July at Tegh.

The seminars were open for the public, and we were able to make room at our small working place for everyone who were driven towards Analytical Psychology of C.G. Jung!

Andreas Michel visits Yerevan, 16-19 June, 2022

The Armenian Association for Analytical Psychology as a Developing group within the IAAP continues its activities and provides a space for the local psychologists and psychotherapists interested in works and writings of C.G. Jung and his analytical psychology. 

Andreas Michel (CGJIZ, IAAP, IAAP Liaison Person for the Armenian Developing Group) visited Yerevan 16-19 June. He delivered lectures for the AAAP members, as well as they had the chance to have in-person individual and group supervision.

Meanwhile within the IAAP Jungian Analysis Router Training the AAAP Router trainees continue their personal analysis, supervision. They attend online seminars and courses provided by different associations of Analytical Psychology and C.G. Jung institutes worldwide.

Andreas Michel's Yerevan visit: 23-26 September, 2021

Andreas Michel (CGJIZ, IAAP) - our Liaison Person - visited Yerevan 23-26 September. This was the first meeting in person with the Armenian Developing Group, in Yerevan, Armenia.

This was a good chance to meet and get to know each other. During those days the Armenian DG had the opportunity to know more about the IAAP and Jungians worldwide, the IAAP Router Training and to have professional exchange and communication. 

Several DG members who had psychotherapeutic practice could have group as well as individual supervision sessions with Andreas.

This was a strong impetus for the further work and activities in the upcoming years!

Armenian Developing Group, IAAP

The Armenian Association for Analytical Psychology (AAAP, Yerevan, Armenia) has been accepted as a Developing Group within the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP, Zurich, Switzerland) late January, 2021 and has been officially registered in Armenia since March, 2021. The Liaison Person of the Armenian Developing Group is Andreas Michel (CGJIZ, Zurich, Switzerland). The IAAP News Bulletin No 6 March 2021 tells about the engagement of the Armenian Developing Group into the international network of Jungian Analysts.

The AAAP as the Armenian Developing Group will coordinate and facilitate the IAAP Router Training in Armenia, organize lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences, as well as the Armenian DG will maintain the translation of the works by C.G. Jung and other Jungian analysts into Armenian.
